Planning the Radial Arm Saw Table
The radial arm saw has been living on a pair of sawhorses for too long. Time for a proper station.
Requirements
- Long infeed and outfeed wings for breaking down 8-foot stock.
- A replaceable sacrificial fence and table surface.
- A dust hood behind the blade — radial arm saws throw chips everywhere.
- Storage underneath for blades and jigs.
Dimensions
Working height will match the planer cart at 34 inches so the two can share outfeed duties. Total length around 10 feet along the shop’s north wall.
Next step: sketch the cabinet bases and figure out the material list.
